Rain Rain and More Rain

This December has been marked by days of rain but don’t worry, Disneyland is still open everyday and the weather doesn’t seem to make a difference in the crowd activity.  We are expecting a very busy Christmas season so be sure to book your reservation early if you haven’t already done so.  Here are a few tips that will help you make your visit at Disneyland a much more memorable one:

1.  Purchase your tickets early:  During holiday time if you plan to purhcase your tickets on the day of visiting the parks, you may run into long lines at the box office.  It is not unusal to wait an hour at the box office and that is something you’d like to avoid if possible.  Purchase your tickets at the participating hotels/discount retailers or Disney’s website will save you both time and money.

2.  Enter early:  Every Christmas holiday the park may close its door once it reaches full capacity.  Exactly what date and what time this will happen no one ever knows.  You will not be allowed to enter even if you have a valid ticket so the trick is to enter early.  Once you are inside the park you may exit and re-enter even if the park reaches full capacity.  However keep in mind there is always a chance this might change simply because Disney needs to make sure it is safe for everyone to visit.  From our experience the past couple of years this tends to happen between 12/25 and 12/31.

3.  Get your fast pass and World of Color tickets:  Everyone knows about the fast pass.  If you don’t, it is a ticket that will allow you to wait in line without actually being there.  Simply put, you obtain this ticket and come back to the ride at a specific time and you will be able to go through a different line which will be a lot shorter than the regular line.  If you are planning to watch World of Color, remember to get your tickets as soon as you enter California Adventure.  There are different showings so be sure to know which one you are assigned to.

Christmas can be a wonderful time to visit the parks, however, make sure you plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time to enjoy each attraction.  If you plan to stay at the parks late or till they close, be sure to bring an extra jacket as the day time temperature can change very much at night.  We hope to see you soon and let us know if you have any questions!
